April 24, 2025 marks the 10th China Space Day, themed "Moon Rises Over the Sea, We Reach for Stars in the Sky", with main events hosted in Shanghai. Shanghai Fuxi Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to the Sub-forum on Space Solar Power Stations under the theme of Space Solar Power Stations & Future Space Industry. Fuxi Energy delivered a presentation on perovskite power systems. During the forum, the company exchanged views with aerospace experts and industry peers on future energy solutions and concepts of space power stations, and shared the energy advantages of self-developed perovskite solar cells as well as relevant power station development plans.

In 2008, China incorporated research and development of space solar power stations into national preliminary research plans. The country targets the construction of a megawatt-level experimental space solar power station starting in 2030, and will obtain the capacity to build gigawatt-level commercial space solar power stations before 2050. Space solar power stations innovatively integrate power generation and power transmission functions onto spacecraft platforms to realize efficient exploitation and utilization of solar energy resources in orbit. The system deploys massive solar cell arrays in space orbits, then transmits electricity back to Earth via microwave or laser for grid supply. Boasting distinct strengths including radiation resistance, full flexibility and low cost for space applications, perovskite solar cells represent the optimal solution for ultra-large-area solar arrays on space power stations.
